like the wind stunning, elegant ferociousness, broad independence fear only of being hidden and locked away i am a wild horse elegant like a golden thread fire underneath my skin fire to run run and run till all the falling stars bow to me in grand finale a wild horse came like a permanent marker had been scribbled on the night starry eyes whispered asking, not begging saying, i could come I ride the wild horse midnight between my legs fire in my bones sweet lullabies of the distant hills wind kissing my star-streaked hair destiny calling ahh the wild horse with free-flying hair no need to fear or worry run, and run like music beating upward towards the dazzling clear climax! ah, to be a horse to never pin my hair or iron my clothes to stay free under any circumstance wild in every condition not like here the wild horse winks at me from outside inky black as the darkness abounding in the night i just climbed out of i sit and wonder back in my dawn-streaked bed as sun creeps up my window what will happen to the horse as it disappears throughout the day like the time maybe it too has things to do, to reach to take care of to be expectations that arrive, unexpected with the day does the wild horse have ponytail days tears in those eyes reflecting starlight maybe we really aren't so different through the day the beaming sunlight shinning on my moon-streaked arms gives a chance to tell my friends the wild tales of freedom's wind a chance to say to someone i care about i fly with the wild horses at night but i am here for you today a chance to ask them to ride the wild horse a dare to step outside that night and see the midnight sky flecked with diamonds carelessly this freedom waits until the day rolls up it's gold-streaked canvas, lets it's eyes drift closed and draws it's velvet blanket to it's chin then we, the wild horse and i release our bonds cut loose the cannons fire the mistles freedom ringing screaming wind flies freely past our ears the wild horse embraces me. embracing him my star-struck tears kiss his midnight nose, thick as velvet. on we fly the wild horse and i free! |
