Blush
The sun kissed the trees
And blew away the dew
That rested on the face
Of one small unsure flower.
Her pink face turned away.
Such rays of starry silk!
The lion of the sky
Stroked her stem with satin fingers.
Sorry at her state
The little flower drooped her leaves.
But then a tiny nuisance
Buzzing by - a bumble bee...
Her humble hush of pink
Had attracted flying tigers
To turn her sun-touched scent
Into glossy tears of golden.
Her flowery face looked up
A rosy flame to brush her cheeks.
The virtuoso of the sky
Turned her blush to graceful shine.
And blew away the dew
That rested on the face
Of one small unsure flower.
Her pink face turned away.
Such rays of starry silk!
The lion of the sky
Stroked her stem with satin fingers.
Sorry at her state
The little flower drooped her leaves.
But then a tiny nuisance
Buzzing by - a bumble bee...
Her humble hush of pink
Had attracted flying tigers
To turn her sun-touched scent
Into glossy tears of golden.
Her flowery face looked up
A rosy flame to brush her cheeks.
The virtuoso of the sky
Turned her blush to graceful shine.
